The Greater Boston Food Bank, 70 S Bay Ave, Boston, MA
Give back with the Vassar Club of Boston! Join VCB at the Greater Boston Food Bank. VCB volunteers will work in the food bank’s warehouse sorting donated grocery products that are then distributed to hunger relief agencies. All volunteers are trained in food safety at the beginning of the shift. Volunteers work together as a team on an assembly line, providing us with an opportunity to get to know and catch up with each other as we provide a service to our community. If possible, we would like all volunteers to wear Vassar gear. *** All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Also, volunteers under 18 require an adult chaperone. October 26, 2017, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Clerys Boston, 113 Dartmouth St, Boston, MA
It was great to see so many people out at the September young alums happy hour, but if you missed it, there’s no need to worry! On Thursday, October 26th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, the Vassar Club of Boston will be hosting the next Young Alums event at Clery’s Bar and Restaurant. With Halloween right around the corner we would love for everyone to join us for food, drinks and socializing with Vassar friends somewhere other than in the Villard Room – you definitely do not want to miss out on the fun! This will be a great opportunity to connect with other young alumnae/i in the Boston area in a casual environment. There is no cost to attend and hang out. We encourage you to invite your friends and come out to show your Brewer pride. If you can’t make this month’s Young Alum event, keep your eyes out for November’s happy hour! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Sammy Augenbraun (saaugenbraun@vassar.edu) or Jonah Williams (jonahwilliams2016@gmail.com).
