Welcome Home

Like Vassar, Boston is a quintessential American community. Both are closely-knit places with vibrant dialogue and ideals, a common sense of identity, and a strong connection to a proud past. Thousands of Vassar alums live and work in the Boston metropolitan area. Founded in 1867 by some of the College’s first graduates, the Vassar Club of Boston (VCB) connects these many graduates both to one another and to the College they love. The Club hosts a wide range of innovative programs throughout the city. We bring members of Vassar’s esteemed faculty to Boston for readings and lecture series. We work closely with the clubs of other elite colleges and universities, allowing Vassar graduates to meet peers and form new friendships. Perhaps most importantly, the Club organizes career discussions with Vassar alum leaders in various industries, giving VCB members valuable networking and professional development opportunities.

In short, the Vassar Club of Boston advances the mission of the College by fostering a lifelong desire to learn and sustaining enduring bonds among graduates.
